New Series

Tonight wraps up Day 7 of A Day in the Life of REM...so what now?

For the next 7 days (Week 2), I will post pictures of everything I eat and the location. I'll do my best to pick unique places that might inspire you to try the place out. We'll see how it goes....On occassion, I will also post pictures of random observations, any cool places, etc....But for the most part, the focus will be food....food food food....

I welcome suggestions for Week 3 also.

Gas

Well, everyone knows gas has fallen a bit, even at this La Cienega/Venice Chevron....and here's what it costs to fill up my tank

Pershing Square

Day 6 already so I guess I'm running out of unique pictures..so here's a picture of Pershing Square where I wait for my transfer bus home....what is this place? Who knows, but I think they have ice skating here in the winter

Cleaning

So every morning by the bus stop, I see these guys with a yellow cleaning cart and they've got a small sized broom and dustpan like you would use at an average size restaurant...I guess it provides a job, but does this really keep the streets of LA clean?

5 days down

Missed out on a lot of pictures today...baja fresh and swing dancing after work...sleep at 12:30....

A lucky girl would have this view from my bed, haha, hey, I have no other pictures for sleep...ill try to keep it interesting tomorrow

Lunch

After attending meetings at the CRA, I had lunch with one of grad student interns, but on the way, there was a nice picket line outside, state workers I think? Not really sure (addendum: apparently the Governator said that if this budget doesn't pass, state workers get minimum wage or something - info from Manuel)

Also, here's another random picture of a "historic" downtown restoration...loft building and expansion never ends

Leaving the office

Taking a short bus ride to the Community Redevelopment Agency / LA (CRA) for a 10:00 meeting followed by another at 11:00....CRA building
