Sheldon's First Birthday

Sheldon celebrated his first birthday today, July 11. We got him some mini cakes from Three Dog Bakery in Pasadena, same as the one at Farmer's Market in LA.

Sheldon's new friend, Lui, got to take part in the cake festivities.

Sheldon, meet Lui

Sheldon's new friend is Lui, an American Eskimo. He's 1 1/2 years old. We got him from the Pasadena Humane Society where his previous owner dropped him off about a week ago. Apparently they moved to an apartment where they could not keep him.

He's quite well behaved, responds well to his name and even knows a couple commands.

Fishing

Trying to re-ignite my childhood hobby....fishing.

Started off by doing some pier fishing at Santa Monica. Went for the small fish to start haha, got about 7 of them, but maybe next time we'll try for something bigger, if they exist.

Here's a picture of Sophy's first catch, which was an extremely tiny Perch, luckily they got bigger after that haha, but as you can see from the picture, she was disappointed in her small catch lol.
