Gondola
All these years since the Venetian opened, I've always wanted to go on the Gondola ride at their Grande Canal Shoppes...
So today, finally got to do so....the gondolier sang "That's Amore"......

Enoteca San Marco
At Tix4tonight, we bought these $3 vouchers that give you 50% off your main dish at Enoteca San Marco, located at the Venetian....anyway, it worked out since I was eyeing that restaurant for after the show. Its another of Mario Batali's restaurants (Pizzeria Mozza and Osteria Mozza in LA), and I was definitely pleased once again. I had the Gemelli (pasta with sausage/brocolli) and we also got Fried Proscuitto balls as an appetizer.

Got two tickets with a small discount from Tix4Tonight for Jersey Boys at the Palazzo....It was a fun musical to watch and music was very enjoyable, I really liked it.
Siegfriend and Roy's Secret Garden
Saw white tigers, alpaca, leopards, lions, and dolphins...not a whole lot to see, but pretty cool....

Serendipity (and the craziest sandwich)
So we ate at Serendipity (yea, the restaurant from the movie, well the Vegas version, but same restaurant)....had a frozen hot chocolate which was pretty good...
But for my main dish, buffet steak sandwich or something like that...its a long strip of new york steak on a french roll. Its divded into 5 parts, and the steak is topping with food from different countries...Mexican: ground beef, pico de gallo, cheese; French: Ham and brie; American: onion ring and bbq sauce; Japanese: pineapple and cheese; and Italian: italian sausage and peppers. What a monster of a sandwich

Last day
So on the morning of my interview for my job, I walked into the office lobby and saw some filipino dood sitting around in a suit. We talked for a bit, just long enough for us to learn that we went to each other's rival schools, me at UCLA and him at USC. He was probably thinking the same thing I was, "Hopefully I get this job and this guy doesn't"....anyway, turns out Manuel and would both get a job in the same office. Both of us being noobies at work, we made it through probation, talking through the things we liked at work and we were like, huh? Past that, we became really good friends... but unfortunately he's leaving our office to go to law school...It's been fun, and it'll be different not having him around the office, but congrats to him nonetheless...

Harry Potter?
I haven't seen any of the first 5 Harry Potters, nor did I ever have any interest in watching them....but anyway, Sophy is a huge fan so here I am near the front of the line (got in line at 9:00) for the 10:35 showing.
Btw, aside from one time waiting for the Matrix (whatever the 2nd one was called), I've never waited in line for a movie before. But I was given a White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cheesecake to keep me busy haha....

Back to...
the driving range....
But while I'm here, I've gotta say something about the reported verbal agreement between Ron Artest and the Lakers....
What a steal! Getting Ron Artest for the mid-level exception (probably about 5.8 million next year?)....anyway, you get Artest for the MlE....you replace Trevor Ariza for a solid post presence that can play 3 positions...the way he commands double teams in the post against sf's is just an amazing fit for the triangle.....Just to put in perspective teamwise, they would have signed Ariza for the MLE, so you get a player of Arest's caliber for the same amount of money, and you can still round out your squad with Lamar Odom.
